My Three Weeks in Ireland

/6-2008: We fly to Ireland from Arlanda. Everything at the airport went smoothly, I almost felt like I had been flying more than just once before. Sandra was really nervous. About two hours in the air, then arrive at Dublin Airport late afternoon. Met Maria. Left-side traffic is pretty scary. Meet the family, Gerry, Joan and Ross and Eva, an exchange student from Germany (real nice). Forgot my mp3, cried when I called mom, which caused Sandra to cry as well.
/6: First day of school. Train to Dublin took about 40 minutes. It was easy to find the school but we were both nervous before. Learning about left-traffic was scary, the crossings were terrifying. I was placed in pre-advanced class, Sandra wasn’t. So we got different time-tables. Went on a tour of Dublin. Such a nice city, but finding the way was really hard.
/6: I had early class, Sandra late class. Class was not hard at all, reminded me a bit of IB. Then explored Dublin and especially Grafton Street on my own.
/6: Late class then went to Killarney with Eva and Ania. Really nice and beautiful. Bono and Enya’s houses are both situated in Killarney. Ate out at night at the pub Farringtons. A great pub.
/6: Early classes. Borrowed Sandra’s computer and sat in the cafeteria for 3 hours waiting for her classes to end. My mp3 arrived! Mom was nice enough to send it to me. Gerry thought my mom was good buddy with the God’s since it came so fast. He was really impressed.
/6: Eva’s last day. Took the train into Dublin on my own. Booked a tour to Galway for me and Sandra. Had late classes. Socialized with Eva and family at night.
/6: Wicklow and Glendalough. Really nice tour went with Top of the Tours. Nice driver, really talkative. Beautiful scenery. Glendalough means two lakes in Celtic. Had dinner with family.
/6: Powerscourt Gardens. The garden was so beautiful, but the house was ruined by a Shopping mall. Saw an awesome street performance when we came back to Dublin. It was an Aussie guy who rode a one wheeled bicycle, and was really charming.
/6: Got a new schedule since I wanted to have classes with Sandra instead of being alone. We went to Dublinia, Christchurch, St Patrick’s Cathedral, and Dublin Castle. It was great, and we walked on foot. Spoke to mum. Had dinner at home with the family.
/6: Croak Park and GAA museum. Really nice and extremely interesting. The arena was awesome. However, got lost on the way there and was saved by a nice bus driver. The guide at Croak Park was really charming. Had dinner with family again.
/6: Guinness factory. Cool, but Guinness is really gross. Ate at Fitzsimons. Saw the match between Spain-Greece together with several Spaniards. It ended 2-1, and the Spaniards were real nice and happy. It was an awesome evening. Hung out with Ella (Finland), Gloria (Italy), Maria and Eliza (Spain). Waiting for the train at Tara Street was funny, I was a bit tired.
/6: Exploring North Dublin for shopping. Was pretty bummed to find and H&M. Said goodbye to Maria who was leaving the next day.
/6: Went to Galway. The weather was finally good. Bunratty Castle, which was located at an medieval village was really great. Cliffs of Moher, was awesome but the wind was real rough. The Burren was pretty interesting, a lot of stones. Our hotel booking was lost and we though that we were to be stranded in Galway without a place to sleep. Croach. Was shipped to another hotel with great personel, who treated us great. That hotel was a lot nicer than the first one. Walked around in the small village for some time. Had separate rooms which was nice, since we needed one night apart.
/6: Rainy day. The trip continued to Connemara. Had loads of trouble, had been misinformed before we left, had to pay extra money. Started to feel sick.
Gerry was real mad that we had been so mistreated and told us to go back to the travel agency and complain.
/6: Sick. Went to Railtours offices to complain. Then went to the Museum of Decorative Arts. Went home early. Saw Moulin Rouge in our room.
/6: Still sick. Went shopping and then back to Railtours. Got some money back. Went to Carrols and Chapters. Also went to a pharmacy. Had a Simpson marathon.
/6: Went to the writers museum. Had to walk like forever, but we were so used to it that it went quickly.
/6: National gallery with Gloria. It was real nice. The went shopping which didn’t give much. Began to pack a little. Bought all of the last stuff.
/6: Riverdance! It was great, so cool! Breathtaking to see in real life. Was raining all day. Ate at Farringtons.
/6: Packing, came home early, went to bed early as well.
/6: Dublin Airport. Was there way to early. Plane was late, landed in Copenhagen before finally flying to Stockholm. It was great to come home, still sick.

Tony and Ben, “teachers” at the school. Both were cute and nice. Tony was awesome and seemed to enjoy our company.
Creative writing was great, Niall was an awesome teacher and both me and Sandra loved those classes. Niall seemed to like our stories as well.
